(additional photos to be added when the students submit their photos.)

Over 3,000 souls gathered at the traffic circle located at 12ths Street and Oak, 9/10/2009, to honor and respect those who lost their lives on that tragic day in 2001.

SFC Raul Pinon, North High School JROTC Instructor was able to bring 30 or more students to assist local neighbors, in the placement of American Flags and flowers on the Historic light poles at the Circle, in keeping with tradition of having this Traffic Circle be the center of community spirit for neighbors and those who pass through our neighborhood on their travels in the valley. A list of others who were in attendance HERE

We placed the image of the “THE FALLING ANGEL ON 9/11” on the Kiosk along with a ring binder notebook listing all of the names of the individuals who lost their lives that day. It is important to place the image on the left in it's proper context HERE. I know that the students and neighbors connected with the meaning today that our actions, our flag, our flowers, our respect is about the innocent lives cut short.
How interesting the question is "do you remember where you were and what you were doing?" when it is asked of someone who is now just in High School......
It was wonderful to meet some of the finest students in the country today...thank you to all of them who helped...

Thank you to Raul Pinon and
Manuel E. Calderon, Principal, North High School for allowing us to interact with the fine students of North High is such a meaningful and purposeful way.
